So what does a Construction Project Manager at Michael Baker International do?

< em>< strong>The Construction Project Manager provides overall direction and management of major DoD SCIF’s US Embassy CAA or similar classified construction projects overseas. You will organize and directs on schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations. You will monitor risks problems and help develop options to resolve them. You are responsible to direct cleared American workers CAWs as well as local national and third country nationals in the execution of project requirements.

    Can you walk me through a typical day of a Construction Project Manager?

    < em>< strong>
  • You will serve as the company’s direct representative in the overall management and execution of complex projects and day to day project oriented work efforts in order to meet project schedule and budget objectives.< li>
  • You will be responsible for the sub contract management and the ability to integrate with an existing prime contractor and ensure safety and quality control measures are strictly enforced.< li>
  • You will have successful experience working on large complex embassy projects within the CAA space or similar DoD SCIF’s.< li>
  • You will interface with a multi discipline multi cultural team.< li>
  • You will plan develop and produce successful project delivery on classified construction projects.< li>
  • You will work with the home office construction project support manager and the prime contractor to deliver resources to meet the project schedule and budget.< li>
  • You will use your knowledge and skills with Department State OBO CAA DoD ICD 705 requirements and execute the project in conjunction with a larger prime contract.

      Could you be the Construction Project Manager we are looking for?

      < em>< strong>
      • We prefer you have a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management Architecture or Engineering.< li>
      • We prefer you have a professional license as an Architect or an Engineer.< li>
      • You must have experience working on US government classified projects.< li>
      • You must have 7 years direct work experience in a project management capacity.< li>
      • You must possess a active Top Secret clearance.< li>
      • You must understand and be knowledgeable of pertinent federal laws codes and regulations.< li>
      • You must manage multiple high priority assignments simultaneously.< li>
      • You must have excellent interpersonal skills for facilitating relationships with civilian and government personnel and other decision makers.< li>
      • You must provide effective supervision or management of contractor personnel if required.< li>
      • You must audit projects effectively and proactively and inform the COR if deadlines are in peril.< li>
      • You must respond to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.< li>
      • You must comprehend communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines backgrounds and cultures.< li>
      • You should be familiar with standard software such as Primavera P6 Adobe and Microsoft Office to include Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook.
