Responsibilities
Use markup languages like HTML to create user friendly web pages
Maintain and improve website
Optimize applications for maximum speed
Design mobile based features
Collaborate with back end developers and web designers to improve usability
Create quality mockups and prototypes
Help back end developers with coding and troubleshooting
Ensure high quality graphic standards and brand consistency
Skills
Strong understanding of web markup including HTML HTML 5 and SASS CSS CSS3
Strong understanding of JavaScript its quirks and workarounds
Good understanding of JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as JQuery Bootstrap and AngularJS
Superb skills with responsive frameworks and in designing for cross browser and multi platform experiences.
Good understanding of asynchronous request handling partial page updates and AJAX
Strong understanding of JSON
Proficient understanding of cross browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues
Basic knowledge of image authoring tools to be able to crop resize or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as Photoshop is a plus.
Knowledge of mobile technologies is plus.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree
1 – 3 year experience as a UI developer using the above technologies
Proven design experience supported by portfolio < p>
