What are my responsibilities?
< strong>The Field Application System Engineer who will support the delivery of a Project or Portfolio for Signalling systems contributing to the overall Project Portfolio Management at regional level. The Field Application Engineer will be required to work in various locations on a full or part time basis dependent on the portfolio requirements of the business.
Project Executions
< u>< strong>
- Gather requirements from customer and negotiate best suitable and improved solutions< li>
- Attending regular meeting for interfacing with third parties partners customer etc.. < li>
- Analyzing the requirements and evaluate design solutions for projects< li>
- Analyzing technical specifications for complying with the requirements of Contract Projects with different levels of complexity< li>
- Leading commissioning and testing on site< li>
- Write and develop hand books and to support Client with training sessions< li>
- Attending regular meeting for interfacing with third parties partners customer or other companies
< li>< ul>Support Service Installations
< u>< strong>- Event Resolutions< li>
- Prepare reports over non critic events when necessary< li>
- Attending on Site Surveys
< li>< ul>What do I need to qualify for this job?
< strong>- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical amp Electronics Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering< li>
- First work experience in automation PLCs and control systems SW HW development as well as electrical designs preferably in metro rail signaling projects< li>
- HW development basics mechatronics.. Electrical design.. < li>
- SW development basics web like programming and also on object oriented languages < li>
- Previous programming experience in languages such as C C and or Java< li>
- Knowledge and experience on real time systems under Linux OS environment< li>
- Experience in computer networking design and configuration< li>
- IT Systems servers high availability IT architectures and clustering databases SAN storage NAS etc. < li>
- Experience with design tools such as AutoCAD< li>
- Excellent Command of English Arabic other languages are a plus < li>
- Willingness to travel and stay at the project site locations as necessary< li>
- Arabic native speaker level and fluent English skills are required< li>
- Degree in Electronics Electrical Mechanical Computer Science Engineering or similar field of qualification with at least 1 2 years of automation systems and project delivery< li>
- Previous experience working with or demonstrable knowledge of HW SW networks< li>
- Proven experience and or knowledge in automation and control engineering< li>
- Availability for domestic and international travels< li>
- Good communicating and integrating skills both oral and written. Systems object of the activity in this post are developed in the context of large railway infrastructures and international and multi technological scope when developing system integration in heterogeneous environments both human and technological is required< li>
- Significant experience within the Rail environment ideally in metro rail signaling projects< li>
- Familiar with railway systems. Valuable knowledge in CENELEC product development lifecycle< li>
- Flexibility to work overtime hours during trials and commissioning periods when required< li>
- CISCO CCNA and CCNP certifications
