Our team in Cairo is now looking to recruit a Senior Broadcast Journalist Growth Editor on a fixed term contract for 12 months. The Growth Editor is vital to the work of the wider editorial team and BBC Arabic overall digital strategy. The successful candidate will improve the way we listen to our audiences taking analytics several steps deeper to understand the driving forces behind our content’s performance.
Role Responsibility
< strong>Your role is responsible for the delivery of exciting innovations to drive data led workflows across our digital output. This includes deep dives producing reports and conducting investigations growth experiments segmentation of data to drive a culture of actionable metrics and change management.
The Ideal Candidate
< strong>The successful candidate will be a fluent Arabic speaker and writer with an excellent command of English. You will be able to demonstrate an in depth understanding of latest trends in digital consumption publishing best practice online analytics and real time data tools and be able to contribute to and or formulate editorial strategies to deliver audience growth. You will have a sound understanding of the different tools needed to analyse audience and visualise the data. An understanding of audience behaviour is key – you will have an analytical mind to interpret data and make informed decisions. First class knowledge of social media and associated audience behaviour is essential you will be able to translate your insights into data led content solutions.
