Performs advanced professional work related to variety of planning assignments Conducts research and prepares statistical reports on land use physical social economic issues Provides professional planning assistance to member communities on varied land use projects Performs field inspections to gather data relevant to the development review process and or to verify that development projects comply with approved plans Schedules and conducts meetings with advisory boards and elected officials Supervises more junior planners within organization Review and understand all relevant documents and conditions pertaining to the project. Attend the formal handover from Proposals and Estimating at the start of the project in accordance with Corporate Procedures. Establish and define any job oriented project control procedures and identify the level of resources required to operate them. Develop in conjunction with the Project Manager and Client a suitable Work Breakdown Structure for the project. Establish and agree the level and frequency of reporting required by the project. Establish and communicate cost and schedule baselines and ensure control mechanisms are in place to monitor performance. Review overall project status with the Project Control team and Project Management and recommend corrective action where necessary. Ensure that all cost planning and document control reports are prepared and issued in accordance with the Project Coordination Procedure. Liaise with other Departments at all meetings relevant to project operations and ensure that the time and cost plans are updated to reflect latest information. Monitoring all the Projects Claims with consultant and employers and coordinate between the contractor and the claimers or arbitrators in the arbitration areas
Job Requirements Degree 5 Years' in same position at construction field. Well developed knowledge of one or more planning disciplines Advanced knowledge of the philosophies principals practices techniques of planning Knowledge of principles methodology practices of research and data collection Knowledge of effective writing techniques Excellent effective Communication Presentation skills.
