Prepares the purchasing plan according to the Sales plans and in coordination them before issuing it to the Finance Manager for endorsement. Participates in setting the purchasing budget with the Factory Manager before its endorsement by the Finance Manager. Controls purchasing department budget. Develops and implements purchasing policies and procedures. Keeps continuous contact with the sales and production department to report any item that is not available at the supplier to coordinate purchase of a replacement item. Reviews purchase orders either from local or abroad markets to ensure their compliance to the company purchasing policies and procedures. Follows up the clearance of shipments from air and sea ports to ensure on time deliveries. Ensures payment to suppliers as agreed through following up with the accounting unit. Follows up with the suppliers to ensure full meeting of agreed upon conditions and terms and to resolve any complications. Negotiates with suppliers the attainment of special prices and follows up related claims. Tracks shipments delivery with neighboring units customs clearance shipping…etc Handles payment methods with the suppliers LCs LGs…etc in coordination with the Finance department. Assures issuing the purchase orders at the correct timing and follows up to resolve any unavailability of items. Ensures the establishing and constant updating of a list of vendors. Monitors the stock and inventory levels and ensures correct and accurate bookkeeping. Develops new innovative ideas to achieve cost savings and communicates them with the Factory Manager. Performs any duties related to his job as assigned by his superior. Evaluates performance of subordinates
