Key Responsibilities
Following are the key responsibilities
• Manage the preparation and timely publication of group consolidated financial reports
• Provide analytical support to internal senior management team including development of internal management reporting capabilities
• Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of the business
• Develop and manage the treasury function and tax strategy for the group
• Review existing accounting and control procedures amp implement required changes to ensure the region remains in line with group policy and in accordance with all regulatory requirements
• Establish appropriate business controls to engender an appropriate “results focus” in decision making
• Successfully manage the internal and external audit function for the group and ensuring that compliance is done within taxation requirements
• Liaison with lawyers auditors amp insurance agencies
• Oversee the management of the group finance team promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
• Ensure staff members receive timely and appropriate training and development and monitor staff performance and development goals along with conducting regular performance appraisals
• Support M amp A activity including active participation in due diligence activity recommendation on deal structures monitor and then report the success or otherwise of acquisitions
• Supporting new business projects including providing financial advice and support to projects undertaken by the business
The candidate must have • A minimum of 10 years’ of work experience on a progressive career growth path with much of that time in a senior financial management position – Qualified Chartered Accountant strongly preferred • Strong conceptual and business analytical skills • Experience as a senior officer with both controller and treasury experience • Experience in taking a company forward in a fast growth environment providing insight for direction and managing change effectively • Degree in Finance Accounting or Business with strong analytical experience
