JOB TITLE DATA MANAGER EPIDEMIOLOGIST< p>

MAIN PURPOSE
Carry out investigation implement assessment epidemiological data analysis and monitoring according to MSF protocols in order to contribute to appropriate evidence based decision making using well managed health data in MSF programs.
Ensure completion of all activities related to medical data entry and data management into the mission database< p>
1. ACCOUNTABILITIES< p>
bull Participate actively in reflections and discussions on the evolution of MSF programs in the mission contributing with his her background and experience to the improvement of overall performance adapting it to the changing reality and context.
bull Carry out key epidemiological activities at mission level.
bull Guide activities of medical staff for data collection encoding including ensuring understanding of the need for consistent case definitions and data recording.
bull Maintain databases and adjust the system to operational activities rsquo needs.
bull Ensure accuracy collation and entry of all data identified by project managers for collection into the appropriate data management system while ensuring quality of data.
bull Do quality control data entry officers rsquo performance on regular basis and carry out monthly back up.
bull Know and ensure proper use of software used for recording i.e. Epi Data .
bull Provide technical support to data entry officers in project sites and give response to their training needs.
bull Provide regular statistical reports for the medical team as well as informing the superior of any missing information major changes or big differences in data.
bull Prepare regular written reports on progress and findings for medical coordinator and projects rsquo management team field coordinators project medical referent . Analyze results and report on findings
bull Implement operational research protocols where standard protocols are not available or appropriate develop a protocol seeking extensive feedback and pilot testing of tools to ensure the objectives will be met robustly.
bull The responsibilities mentioned above are not exhaustive and other work can be required according to the needs of the mission. < p>
Job Requirements 2. REQUESTED PROFILE EDUCATION Medical doctor preferable or biomedical background with Master Degree in EpidemiologyPROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES amp SKILLS Essential 2 years of working experience in Egypt Experience in field epidemiology Desirable working experience in other NGO rsquo s Use of epidemiology related analytical software excel Epi data STATA or SPSS LANGUAGE English amp Arabic spoken and written COMPENTENCIES amp SKILLS Patience and good communication skills Diplomatic and dynamic person Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills work in a team Ability to work in a multicultural team and independently Reporting and analysis skills Adaptability and flexibilityHow to apply?
