< li>Promote Safety with all in country T amp L service providers and ensure that Project policies are followed.
Oversee the transfer of Project Shipment data to facilitate prompt import customs clearance documentation between Project service providers and to ensure the process is done in a timely and correct manner. Upon receipt of shipment files from the out of country forwarder review the shipping documentation and ensure that it meets both the Project and Egyptian Customs requirements and where necessary to provide technical support reviews and feedback to T amp L and the out of country forwarder in order to issue or amend documentation necessary to complete the Egyptian customs clearance process.
Monitor and oversee the transfer of documentation by in country service provider to all required parties and provide support to ensure import customs clearance is in place prior to cargo arrival.
Review all Key Performance Indicators KPI assigned to this work to ensure that they are being met. Advise the Project if a change to the import customs clearance process needs to be made to meet Project KPI requirements.
In situations where the import customs clearance exemption is sought on behalf of an Egyptian Supplier receive review and approve all documents prior to submission to the client and other government departments.
Maintain and oversee the recording and distribution of material bought into Egypt by Project suppliers or subcontractors imported under the Project Name in order that all required documentation can be provided to the Project Customs Authorities and other required parties. Including maintaining records for the facilitation of re export of equipment amp materials at the end of the Project
Provide monthly reporting to the Project on the status of all imported material.
Ensure that BPS is updated and information received from Head Office and all service providers is complete and accurate.
Assist with any other Traffic amp Logistics function as and when required.
As required represent the Project in any meetings with client customs or government authority.
This position is based in Alexandria Egypt and applicants must already possess the right to live and work in Egypt. This is a national contract position and the successful applicant will be employed by a third party company to provide services to Bechtel
